Home directory

OK, I'll be first to ask a stupid question ...

I have 1 installation with 2 sites. The first shows up as http://domainname.com/Home/ but the other shows http://otherdomain.com without the /Home/. How can I get rid of the /Home/ in the first one?

Re: Home directory

And I was just about to close down this forum group as it was getting no visitors :)

Most likely you don't have the 'Home' page set on your first site.  You need to specify a home page in your 'Admin->Site Settings', so that the software knows which page to remove the url part from.

Re: Home directory

Sorry, I should have been more specific. "Home" is a directory and this was there before the Ifinity Url rewriter and is still there.

htpp://domainname/Home/page1 or htpp://domainname/Home/page2

The home directory is portals/0 for this site and portals/desire for #2

I want to get rid of directory "Home". If I look in File Manager (or directly at server with File Explorer) there is no directory called home.

Re: Home directory

Is the /Home/ directory a virtual directory in IIS?  You don't have to have a physical directory on the server to create a virtual directory.  Take a look in the IIS manager and find out if that's the case.

No, there are no virtual directories. Somehow, the DNN is just appending this "Home" but only to site 1 not site 2.

I just did a clean install of a second DNN installation & database and for new site 1 it doesn't add "Home". Haven't installed Infinity URL yet but will keep you posted.

Follow up - changed the skin back to DNNBlue twice and now it's working OK. Still puzzled, but now it works.
