This is not Ifinity, per se.  For SEO purposes, I was trying to create a 301 redirect from  arete-erp.com to www.arete-erp.com.

However, I think I did it completely wrong, and now I can't undo it.  When on my default/home page, I went to settings, and

I set link url / link type to 'link to an external resource' and set it to www.arete-erp.com and checked permanently redirect.

Now, when I am logged in as host, when I click settings for the default page, the logged in interface goes away, i.e. the ability to edit the page is gone, the control panel is gone, and the settings page does not come up.

So how can I undo the redirect if I can't get to the settings for the page?

Thanks,

David Schlesinger

Hi David

To get to the page settings, you should be able to in through the admin-pages page.  Even though the home page of your site isn't working (will probably be a 301 redirect loop) you should be able to go to another page of your site (look in your browser history if it helps).

If that doesn't work, then you can go into your site using a Sql query manager.  You can use the host->sql interface.  You need to update the record for your page to turn off the permanent redirect.

This would be done by :

update tabs

set permanentRedirect = 0

where tabName = 'yourtabname'

Then try again.

If you're using the Url Master software, to get a redirect from the non-www to www, just tick the 'redirect to subdomain' option in the Friendly Url Settings page, and type in 'www' into the subdomain box.
