1) Does this module install itself as an HTTPModule?

2) has it been tested on data returned by AJAX calls? Specifically ActiveModules use AJAX when loading say page 2 of a thread. When that data is loaded, would this module handle the replacements?

3) Can this module replace with anything or is it just intended for links? IOW, Can I use to replace TEXT with TEXT or basically anything I want?

4) Can it do regex replaces? Example: if I search for: link=(*.?) can it replace with url=$1 ?

5) Can it pattern match pages to exclude? I don't want it to replace on admin pages, or pages that contain "/ctl/" in the url for example.

Answers:
1) It's an ordinary module, but when activated, a http module is added to the page

2) not explicitly. It will depend on what format data the ajax call is returned as. Best way is to test and find out if it works on the call or not.

3) yes, it is a generic find/replace module. No problem with replacing text with bold, links, whatever.

4) yes. Regex expressions are allowed in the find/replace
