My guess is that something is preventing the licence file from being read correctly.  Does this happen for every request, or just for occasional requests?

Can you please check the permissions on the /desktopModules/iFinity.CanonicalLinker/Licence directory?  You should have read permissions for the user that your website runs with.

Has this persisted for a long time, or was it just happening after installing the module?

Hi Bruce,

I had to uninstall the canonical linker, because my site was really slow. Because of this I cannot check the read permission.

However, I could not upload the license file the normal way, so I uploaded it by ftp. You recommended this to me when I had the same problem with the urlmaster. Do not know if this has anything to do with it.

I now installed canonical linker again. The uploading of the license file was no problem this time. I am going to configure it now. I will let you know if the same problem occurs or not.

Greetings,

Darcy de Bood

OK - the fact you uploaded with FTP would agree with what I thought might be wrong.  Uploading with FTP probably results in a different set of permissions for the file than uploading by using the module itself.

Please let me know how you get on.

Hi Bruce,

I have the module running for 2 days now after reinstalling it. No problems what so ever until now.

I think all is ok. Thank you for your help.

Regards,

Darcy
