ignoreFileTypesRegex="(?<!linkclick\.aspx.+)(?:\.pdf$|\.gif$|\.png$|\.css$|\.js$|\.jpg$|\.html$|\.htm$|\.axd|\.swf$|\.flv$|\.ico$)"

Matthew - the ignoreREgex field is setup to work with no-page extension sites as a default, so it should work straight away.

If you can get the Url to work using the 'Test Url Rewriting' function in the Friendly Url Settings page, but it won't work from the browser, the issue is in your IIS configuration. If you have ascertained that it is running in IIS7 classic mode (check the application pool for the application to see which mode you're using) then you need to setup the wildcard handler. I've found that you sometimes have to set it twice (if you're using IIS7 to configure, switch to 'ordered view') to make sure the handlers are in the correct order.

You shouldn't have to change any of the regex configuration, because they are designed to cover most installs without any changes.

Bruce,

I have the wildcard setup for IIS7 classic mode on the main dotnetnuke site. Is this the correct place? Should I put it on the specific portal folder? And I have made sure that the wildcard is at the bottom.

Here is how the site structure looks in IIS7: https://www.pearlinsurance.com/test/furl.png
Here is how the mappings look: https://www.pearlinsurance.com/test/mappings.png

Also I am using the Friendly URL provider and not url master.

Thanks
Matt

Okay, I went ahead and downloaded the URL master trial with the 10 day license and I am getting the same thing. 404 when visiting ie: about-us/

However, something different in the module settings when I test out a url I get an error message which might help you help me.

* Error:[Invalid URI: The Authority/Host could not be parsed.]

Finally!

Got this working. I deleted the mapping and added a specific wildcard mapping and then just tested it and it worked. It is at the top of the order... Not sure if you meant top instead of bottom in your documentation or if mine is just backwards. But either way it is working well.
