Hi,
i have installed and configured following the instruction on the .zip file.
All seems to works if i write the original URL
http://mysite.com//ISIS/tabid/96/language/it-IT/Default.aspx
as this
http://mysite.com//ISIS.aspx

But if i click on the menu, i got this URL
http://mysite.com//ISIS/language/it-IT.aspx

and i get this error
"The resource cannot be found. "

What i'm wrong ??
Thanks in advance
Stefano

Stefano

It's difficult to say what might be causing the error.  Can you give me the actual url of the site?   Have you got your web.config entries correct?  Are you running IIS7?  Because if you are, you need to make the change for the httpModule in the <system.webserver> section, rather than the <system.web> section.

Some more info might help me work it out.

HI,
the site is:

http://dnn.isisfermi.it

but i have disabled your provider because the site was unusable.

I use Windows 2003 with IIS 6.0 and these are my web.config setting.

                <!-- add name="DNNFriendlyUrl" type="iFinity.DNN.Modules.FriendlyUrl.DNNFriendlyUrlProvider, iFinity.FriendlyUrlProvider" includePageName="true" regexMatch="[^\+a-zA-Z0-9 _-]" urlFormat="HumanFriendly" redirectUnfriendly="true" doNotRewriteRegex="(\.axd)|(/DesktopModules/)" doNotRedirect="SearchResults;" doNotRedirectRegex="[.]*(/logoff.aspx)" pageExtensionUsage="always" parameterHandling="ordered" ignoreFileTypesRegex="(\.gif)|(\.png)|(\.css)|(\.js)|(\.jpg)|(\.html)|(\.htm)" checkForDupUrls="true" forceLowerCase="false" redirectWrongCase="false" replaceSpaceWith="_" /-->

            <!-- add name="UrlRewrite" type="iFinity.DNN.Modules.FriendlyUrl.UrlRewriteModule, iFinity.FriendlyUrlProvider"/-->

Thanks
Stefano

Ok, this will help only if you want to run a single-language site.  I recall now other people having problems with the language parameters.

The Url Master product (see Products page) has special handling for multi-language sites, but it isn't a free product like the Friendly Url Provider.  However, you can download a free trial and see if it suits you or not.
