Just to make sure I am not missing anything, I installed the Google Analytics module, dropped on home page, checked display on all pages. It is tracking, but I see the module as anonymous user? I didn't change any view settings.

Am I missing something because the blog install instructions says it will automatically only show for admin/host users?

WHen you say 'I see the module as anonymous user' : do you mean you can see the tracking code, or you can see the module container?

It's not automatic that the module hides.  You need to hide the container in the module settings so that it doesn't appear to users.

Removing the container (display container :unchecked) just removes the display of a distinct frame and title for the module.

Visibility : none just means remove the +/- visibility box (if it's even in the skin)

I agree that the initial statement seems confusing and could do with updating.  But when you hide the module via the settings it still generates the tracking code as you would expect.  You can check this at any time by viewing the page source : you'll find the code toward the bottom of the page.
