We installed iFinity Url Master at the beginning of April and on the same day, several of our reports in Google Analytics stopped working. While our main (site wide) report works, several reports we had built with filters have quit. The filters were based on subdirectories, so they were set in Google Analytics as "include only traffic to the subdirectories that are equal to subdirectory XYZ."

When these were originally set up, we used the apparent subdirectory, based on what showed in the URL. I've tried resetting all of the filters based on the new URLs to no avail. I've also tried recreating the filters.

All of the reports show they are receiving data. And I can manually filter the main report to show the data I need, so the data from these pages within the subdirectories is there and can be properly filtered using the subdirectory name. However, I can't get the automated filters to recognize the subdirectories.

The main impact of using the Url Master module will be the change in the way the Urls looks for the website.

If you have had GA reports setup using Urls with the /pagename/tabid/xx or just /pagename.aspx format, when the url master module was implemented, it might have changed this somehow, perhaps by including hyphens in spaces or something similar.

The module itself doesn't impact on the way GA works, because it has no effect on the script or cookies that run and are used to track the traffic.

As you can get the data to look the way you want, perhaps it is just a timing action with GA that is causing the issue.  I guess that would depend on how recently you modified your reports, and how long the automated reports take to compile.
