I noticed that DNN 5.4.2 adds a DNN sitemap provider and turns it on by default. I now have Ifinity + DNN sitemap.

It also adds these lines to web.config:
<add verb="*" path="Sitemap.aspx" type="DotNetNuke.Services.Sitemap.SitemapHandler, DotNetNuke" />

<sitemap defaultProvider="coreSitemapProvider">
<providers>
<clear />
<add name="coreSitemapProvider" type="DotNetNuke.SitemapProviders.CoreSitemapProvider, DotNetNuke.SitemapProviders.CoreSitemapProvider" providerPath="~\Providers\MembershipProviders\Sitemap\CoreSitemapProvider\" />
</providers>
</sitemap>

Can/should we deleted these added lines to continue using Ifinity sitemap? Or should we modify these entries so we can use sitemap page to modify settings for Ifinity product?

You can remove the sitemap.aspx entry, or you can switch the ifinity entry to use sitemap.aspx instead of sitemap.axd. It doesn't matter either way.

However, unless you notify search engines of the sitemap.aspx, they shouldn't ever find it. Put the sitemap.axd in your robots.txt file and check your webmaster console to see that they aren't using sitemap.aspx and you should be good.

Thanks will remove entry. Don't want to use sitemap.aspx as I'm sure somewhere down road DNN will overwrite this with their stuff.

"they shouldn't ever find it" - famous last words. They shouldn't have found a non-existing sitemap.xml but they did. Never underestimate Google for finding stuff that isn't there. Can't put in robots.txt until Bruce finished robots.txt per portal project. G webmaster is using GoogleSiteMap.axd (and the non-existing sitemap.xml) but I guess haven't checked what Yahoo/Microsoft is using and portal robots.txt would mean we don't have to run all over the place fixing/checking things.
