Is it possible to set up a redirect for the incorrect Urls?  ie portala/pagea.aspx to be redirected to portalb/pageb.aspx?

The fix I put in was to stop the error from occuring.  It was feasible only to select the correct portal from the tab, because it's impossible to know which tab to go to unless a specific redirect was in.

I suggest going to the 'wrong' page and entering a 'permanent redirect' value in that tabs settings - this would redirect to the correct page.  Let me know if this is not feasible.
