URLMaster 1.11.09 / DSLocalizator
Modified By Déclic Vidéo FX on 9/2/2008 11:21:55 PM)

Hello Bruce,

Sorry to post in a non appropriate thread, I have the usual problem while trying to post on your forum as you know. Do not hesitate to move my post somewhere-else.

I have discovered four bugs with URL Master (latest release 01.11.09), that I explain here. When I say that it is linked to URL Master, it is because I have tried to de-activate URL Master, and the problem disappear.

1/ Impossibility to use the DSLocalisator module on a child page with the latest URL Master release !! (it was working with 01.00.10).
Try to enter DSLocalisator "Tab Localisation" or "Module Localisation", and try to switch language... --> NOT POSSIBLE. You are always redirected to the default language. Disable URL Master --> it works, make your modification, and re-enable URL Master... Not very convenient...

2/ When I discovered the problem above, I tried to disable URL Master for the specific pag on which DSLocalisator is located (child page). So in Friendly URL Settings, I add my page in the section "Do not generate Human Friendly Urls for these Pages (useBaseFriendlyUrls):". Unfortunately, this option does not seem to work on child page (at least, I still have my problem descrived in 1/ )
Solution I found: moving my module onto a parent page, and then it works... :-(

3/ URL Language parameters problem. As described on this thread, when viewing an article on my website, clicking on the FLAG to change language give erroneous URL. Visualise an article, and then, hold your mouse over the flag, and look the URL: /language/language/Home/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/480/Easy-install-of-Studio-12/fr-FR.aspx --> this is not a friendly URL and does not exists... If I disable URL Master, the URL is correctly constructed.

4/ As explained in this thread, there is a problem with URL Master and Mandeep Live Content. URL Master must be shut down before performing the upgrade.

Any idea for all these bugs/problems ?

I'll look into the problems - it might take some time to sort through though, and I'll post back here when I have worked out fixes.

Re: URLMaster 1.11.09 / DSLocalizator

I have disabled DSLocalisator. When doing so, you can still parameter some function, and even with DSLocalisator disabled, I have the SAME problem. So, item 3/ is also to be taken into account.

Thanks a lot,
