Newbie Question...

Hi,

I am trialling url master and want o be able to deploy both a virtual path and url rewriting functionality.

I have used the default settings such that one of my urls is wriiten www.mydomain.com/products/cat1/subcat.aspx, however I would like it to be a virtual path and rewriting such that the url becomes www.mydomain.com/cat1/subcat.aspx - i.e. removing the product tab.

I am also using pageblaster - what is the best way for me to do this - I will need to rol this out over 10+ domains.

Thanks

Nick

Re: Newbie Question...

Nick

This sort of rewriting isn't easily achieved, but depending on your requirements I might be able to help you set it up.  Send me an email to bchapman at ifinity.com.au.

The problem you're going to face is duplicate content penalties.  While the cat1/subcat.aspx url might be shorter, it would be worse to have both the products/cat1/subcat.aspx and the cat1/subcat.aspx Urls working.
