Upgrading DNN Installation w/ Friendly URL Provider

Hello,
This may be a very stupid question, but I'm having some issues updating my DNN installation to 4.9 on a site with the URL Master installed.  Everytime I try to hit the /install/install.aspx (or install/installwizard.aspx) page, I receive a 404 page coming from the URL Master module.  Am I doing something incorrect?  Thanks for the assistance.

Re: Upgrading DNN Installation w/ Friendly URL Provider

Hi Scott

I recommend switching off the Url Master module before commencing an upgrade of DNN.  You can do this using the 'Friendly Url Setting' screen, 'Revert to Standard Provider' button.

After you have completed the upgrade, just click  the 'apply changes' button again to activate the module.   As long as you don't replace the 'dnnfriendlyurl' section in the web.config during the upgrade, your settings will be kept.

regards

Bruce
