Hi all

I am trying to install DNN 7.4 and have gone through all the steps below:
  • Updated URL Master to 2.8.3
  • Copied over the DNN 7.4 files and run "install/upgradewizard.aspx"
  • Site successfully updates
  • Redirects to homepage but it is blank

I have watched with Fiddler and I can see this when it loads the homepage i get a 404 with this in the header:
X-UrlMaster-500: 500 Rewritten to DNN Tab : Page Not Found(Tabid:136)

Any help here would be much appreciated, this has been driving me nuts for 2 days.

Update to this:

If i remove all references to iFinity.FriendlyUrlProvider.dll from the bin folder and web.config (and change to DotNetNuke.HttpModules.UrlRewriteModule) I can load the homepage and get into the Admin / Host settings but nothing else works.

Same issue here - I have multiple sites down now, too bad a simple how to fix this is not posted.
This is going to be a hugh mess  + google analytics will be impacted as the urls will be diff once you back out and try to go with something else.

I was able to recover one site by:
1 - Obtaining a new webconfig file that comes with the full version of DNN 7.04
Extract the <add name="UrlRewrite" type="DotNetNuke.HttpModules.UrlRewriteModule, DotNetNuke.HttpModules" preCondition="managedHandler"/>
Section and
Comment out the ifinity version;
 <!--<add name="UrlRewrite" type="iFinity.DNN.Modules.UrlMaster.UrlRewriteModule, iFinity.UrlMaster.FriendlyUrlProvider" preCondition="managedHandler" /> -->

Also commented out:
  <!-- <friendlyUrl defaultProvider="iFinity.UrlMaster"> -->
Added in place:
<friendlyUrl defaultProvider="DNNFriendlyUrl">

Then removed the .dll related ifinity files.

I was able to finish the upgrade and log on to the site.  Next steps is to go to admin and host and remove any residuals.
Now sure what else needs to be done!
