 Hi,

I have a page on my website that has a module I'm developing. It is a search module that uses query strings. Today I started to get this really strange problem where if I do a search in IE i get a 404 but if i do the same search in another browser, i've tried firefox and chrome, the page loads fine.

I'm not sure how to begin debugging this problem. The page works on my test server where url master isn't installed. If you would like to see the page you'll need to login with the following credentials at http://www.territorydiscoveries.com/td-book-search

username: tester
password: today01

Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

I've found the problem! I am using this: http://www.twinhelix.com/css/iepngfix/. And in fiddler I saw that the page returned fine, but immediately after IE requested a file called iepngfix.htc which must have been accidently deleted because it returned a 404. I'm going to ensure that file exists and then give it a test, but I'm pretty sure this is it.

If you're having a problem with a 404 in one browser but it works in another, it pretty much has to be something related to that browser.  Use Fiddler to check your Http traffic and look for unwanted redirects, 404 errors or something simliar.  The iepng fix was pretty popular, you may have this without even realising.
