Hi,
We are trying to direct to http://gffhlp.mojoe.net by using a Page Url defined as http://www.gfhllp.com/highwoods/ which itself points to an 'external url' page http://www.gfhllp.com/highwoods_redirect.aspx under DNN. But we are getting the 404 error. Note, we did try one solution where we modified something set from 'false' to 'true' of a iFinity xml node under the DNN installation's web.config file (sorry, can't find the original web topic right now for that but in that iFinity's URL Master was supposed to fix the problem) but that did not help.

Please advise.

Thanks

If you're using an external page (ie, a physcial asp.net page), you'll have to exclude that page from the rewriting by placing it into the 'doNotRewriteRegex' field.  See http://www.ifinity.com.au/Products/KB/Url_Master/topic/Modifying+Advanced+Regex+Patterns for information how to do this.  The regex pattern you'll need will be to append a |/highwoods_redirect\.aspx onto the end.

Also, if you're using the 'permanent redirect' feature of DNN, change the option in the advanced url rewriting settings to '301 redirect to external page'.

Bruce,

Thank you very much for the usual prompt response (although we are not getting the email notifications ). Well, I applied the RegEx change but still no luck: http://www.gfhllp.com/highwoods is still a 404 page.

http://www.mojoe.net/_temp/ifinityhost.gif

http://www.mojoe.net/_temp/ifinityadmin.gif

are screen caps to our configuration. And, yes, I did 'apply' the changes which made changes the web.config file.

Thanks,

Also, after applying the RegEx filter as above, now the http://www.gfhllp.com/highwoods_redirect.aspx page itself is not redirecting to gfhllp.mojoe.net .FYI.

Thanks,

Bruce,

Any ideas? Is going the Url Master route not going to help us here?

Thanks,

DeveloperMojoe
