I have to support alot of old links that didn't have page extensions so I have the setting "page extension handling" turned on to "only for pages".  this works great and gives my site all the links with the .aspx extention, and also allows me to support all the old links from google that were extentionless.

the problem appears to be the sitemap.  I'm using /googlesitemap.axd and everything in there shows the extentionless links... is there any way to get the etensions on for the sitemap?

OK, I'll have to take a look at this and see what I can find.  It's not a combination I have tested to my knowledge.

Incidentally, if you have switched on 'only for pages' then you have configured the option for supporting extension-less Urls.   You can reuqest any Url on your site with or without a page extension and it will work, though it should redirect to your chosen setting.  This is because the module actually ignores the page extensions for the most part, and works on the part of the url excludign the extension.  So you might be able to switch to 'no page extensions' and see the same reuslts, and as a bonus your sitemap Urls will match.

thanks... that part seems to be working fine.

It appears to actually be working correctly this morning and I'm wondering if I didn't reset the app before checking it.  sorry for the confusion.
