Hi Bruce

I have UM working on one site with redirectToSubDomain="www" eg the domain is www.example.com.

But now I want to add another subdomain, eg new.example.com

How can I make it so that this new portal is not rewritten to www.new.example.com?

Also do I understand the licensing correctly? new.example.com is included in my licence already?  What about new.example.com/child-portal?

Thanks a lot

If you have portals on the site which don't use the 'www' prefix, you can't use the 'redirectToSubdomain' option.  This is because it is an install-wide setting - so all portals are affected in the same way.

Please see this topic : http://www.ifinity.com.au/Products/KB/Url_Master/topic/301+Redirect+all+requests+to+a+chosen+domain

This shows how to manually set up a redirect to a specified portal alias.  Future versions of the product will deprecate the 'redirectToSubdomain' switch and it will be replaced with 'usePortalAlias'.  At present, there is no user-interface to support the 'usePortalAlias' attribute, so it must be manually created.
