Hi,

basically I have the same problem as mentioned in this post, which lacks a solution (http://www.ifinity.com.au/Products/Su...)

Using DNN 4.09, iFinity Url Master Version : 2.5.0.1

When I add a new page, the page is visible in my site navigationmenu for admin and visitor, but when clicked it alway returns the parent of the new added page. As admin the page properties can't be accessed.

After adding a new page, I see in the site event viewer:

Url Master Caching Message: Module Providers stored in cache
Cache Item Key: um_ModuleProviders_48_0
Providers Count: 0

any idea?

[EDIT] : anybody from support to help me? this is a live site...

Hi - this is a problem with the page index not refreshing correctly after a new page is added or moved around in the page hierarchy.  I have seen this behaviour in a couple of DNN 4.x sites.

Firstly, the issue can be fixed quickly by going into the Url Master host->friendly url settings page, and clicking on the 'rebuild page index'.  This will immediately rebuild the page index and make sure that your new pages can be viewed.

As for correcting the problem, you could try changing the page index setting to stop using the cache monitoring method.  This is done by going to the 'Performance Settings' tab on the Friendly Url Settings page, and uncheck the 'Use cache dependency on DotNetNuke tab cache to store Page Url index" option, and then Apply Changes.

Apologies for the delay, there was an issue with email notifications which has been fixed now.

Hi Bruce,

first time I got apologies in a free support forum... great service!
Your suggestion worked for me. So this is a DNN 4.x issue and the real cause isn't clear?

Thx!

DNN 4.x just uses slightly different caching strategies for holding the tabs collection in memory.  Depending on configuration settings (I haven't worked out which), the cache monitoring method doesn't seem to work well.   But if it's working now you should be OK.  If you do upgrade to DNN 5, you can switch it back then.
