I will try and recreate the issue locally first, and if I can't do that, then we can discuss setting up more logging on your server.

Can you tell me if (a) this portal has multiple languages installed, and (b) if the defualt language is NOT en-US?

Sorry - more questions..

- do you have 'friendly urls for admin/host pages' switched on?

- can you locate via the event viewer which Url causes this to happen?  There might be a DNN event log adjacent to this error which may show what the requested Url is, if you don't see it yourself.

- does it happen all the time, or periodically?

Yes there are multiple languages installed and en-GB is the default language.
