If you're having trouble with a Url Master, please see the Url Master Knowledgebase.

In particular, if you're getting a 404 error, please see the article on Troubleshooting 404 Errors with Url Master

I've also made a blog post to help people self-diagnose problems with Url Master installations.  If you're having trouble with the module, please read and perform the tasks shown in this blog post : Trouble shooting Url Master Installations

This information shows how to diagnose errors like exceptions, 404 results and unwanted 301 and 302 redirects.

Hi Bruce

I have tried your Url Master out but I was trying it on a site not ready for it so I had to uninstall it .... BUT how do I do this properly ... admin>>Page urls  and Host>>Friendly Url Settings are still there ... how can I get rid of them? ... I am going to play around with your url Master module on a site less important instead. Is there anything else to think about to uninstall it properly?

/Johan

To uninstall the module, you need to :

1) click the 'uninstall' button on the 'Friendly Url Settings' page.

2) follow the link on the friendly url settings page to the Url Master module definition screen

3) click uninstall from this locaiton

This should remove the module completely.
